About Us
A-KREW developed naturally and organically through passion and community.
➢
The story starts from my personal desire to be part of an adult hip hop crew . I had spent many years instructing movement and decided to start my own hip hop class in 2015. It filled up pretty quickly, so we added more classes. After some time, we felt ready to perform on stage and that exposure helped us grow even more. Once the momentum was strong enough, we felt it was time for a home and so we finally opened our studio in 2019. Since opening our doors we have expanded to offer a whole range of dance and pilates options for all ages.

Classes: GROOV3, GROOV3 Kids, Breaking Instructor in training
Bio: Yooo where do I begin?..Angie & GROOV3 welcomes everyone together in the most supportive and loving community. Being a GROOV3 student first, and that feeling of pure energy and beautiful vibes is what made me fall in love. It brought so much joy that we would smile for like a whole week after G3 class! I then realized how much I would love to inspire others to have FUN, BE FREE, & just DANCE their hearts out! So I got certified!
Now for me, the best part as an instructor is seeing people light up and glow, especially when everything all comes together and everyone looks like a bunch of Beyoncé QUEENS!!!-That's my absolute favourite! It's been a beautiful journey and I couldn't be happier.

Classes: GROOV3, GROOV3 Kids
Bio: I didn’t realize my love and passion for dance until it was well into “adulthood” about 6 years ago. I had all the fears going to my first class!
When Angie brought GROOV3 to the studio I was immediately hooked! I love the format, the DJ mixes, variety, freedom and accessibility. Most of all I love the incredible energy and vibe everyone brings to the classes! All levels, having an absolute blast together while getting in an incredible workout that honestly does not feel like one cause it’s too much fun!”

Classes: GROOV3, GROOV3 Beginners
Bio: Regardless of age or experience, growth is always possible.
Teaching Groov3 has allowed me to stretch outside my comfort zone, gain new insights about myself and develop greater confidence. I love having the opportunity to share this with the class while doing my favourite thing… DANCING!”

Classes: Beginner Hip Hop, Breaking instructor in training
Bio: Dance has always been an integral part of my life.
I started dancing 25 years ago in classes for Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, but once I discovered Hip-Hop and A-krew, I never turned back.
I believe that Hip-Hop teaches strength, courage, passion and determination. Dance has also always brought a sense of freedom and joy for me, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share this with my students. We're a community that welcomes your excitement to learn with open arms.
So be you, feel the beat, and just have FUN because that's what dance is all about!
